Finds the right race this time and can get the job done. CHAMPAGNE AFFAIR (12) has a moderate winning strike-rate but performed well last time at Clare, finishing fourth and only 1.5 lengths from the winner at the end of 5½f after being in the firing line on the bend. Nicely placed to take this out. FAMOUS KNIGHT (3) ran a better race last start to finish a close third over 6¾f at Port Lincoln after missing the placings at the previous appearance. Suitably placed so anticipating another big run. MELMAC (16) ran a better race last start, finishing 2.25 lengths away in fifth over 6f at Clare. Well placed to make amends.
