SHE'S A SPLINTER (6) was beaten just a head last start when fresh from a lay-off and landed her first top-three finish in the process at Ascot over 6f. Has taken a while to hit form but can open her account this time. IS THIS THING ON (8) will find this a little easier than her third on debut two weeks ago, beaten 2 lengths at the end of 5f at Ascot. Inside draw will assist so she shouldn't be a maiden for long. ENCROACHING (3) is a nicely bred gelding by sire Gold Standard from the stakes-winning mare Rantorini. Looked good in an easy trial win recently with Lucy Fiore up. Should be competitive with the blinkers going straight on. UNTAMED STARE (7) raced once in the maiden campaign when fifth at Ascot over 5f back on December 20. Will take a lot from that last run and is worth following up.
