Couldn't follow that up last time out when eighth over 7f at Ascot, beaten 4 lengths after being in contention on the corner. Likely improver with strong prospects. CAPTAIN PLUTO (2) is having his first run since October 19. Has never missed the top-three at the start of his campaigns, and he did win over 7f at Belmont Park at the start of last prep. Ran fifth in a trial at Pinjarra Scarpside over 5f recently. Makes plenty of appeal. PETROUCHKA (9) resumes. Didn't make an impact at her only run last prep on 30/11/2024, finishing fifth and beaten 4 lengths over 7f in the LR Jungle Dawn Classic at Ascot. Looks one of the genuine hopes in the race.
