MAX BARLEY (5) was beaten for early speed and didn't come into contention when a disappointing seventh over 1m at Laurel (Dirt) most recently. Has the talent to return to form. TRANSACTIONAL (3) was never in contention when resuming last start over 6f at Aqueduct (Turf), finishing tenth and beaten 16 lengths. Can do much better. PRETORIAN GOLD (4) finished second last start at the first run back from a lay-off over 5½f at Laurel (Turf) when he worked home well, beaten one length. Likely improver with bright prospects.
