Has the pace to be thereabouts from the outset. Tackling a more suitable race so he is a major player. MALIBU WARRIOR (2) didn't do a bad job when second last start after being prominent at the turn over 7f at this track, beaten 1. 5 lengths. That followed a win at this track the start prior. Likely improver with strong prospects. KERNESS (6) is back from a nine months lay-off and he does run well when resuming, including a win over 1m1/4f at Delaware Park at the start of last prep. Makes plenty of appeal. SPEEDY HANS (8) improved last time out, finishing 0. 3 lengths from the winner in second over 1m1/4f at Tampa Bay Downs. Looks to be in the right race so another bold effort is on the cards.
