SAL N LOUIE (8) has been mixing his form recently including last time out when he was well held over 1m at this track (Dirt). Settles back early but winds up late. Will prove hard to hold out. BIG JOHN (4) was never in contention when 15 lengths from the winner in ninth over 7f at this track last start, a less impressive effort than his sixth at this track the run before. Has started two times at this course and distance and is yet to miss the placings. Likely improver with strong prospects. ROMAN EMPIRE (2) scored two runs back then was well in commission last time but could only manage to finish fifth over the same trip at Penn National (Dirt) after he had settled well back. Nicely placed to bounce back.
