ALERO (1) produced a reasonable effort when fourth last start after being prominent at the turn over 6f at this track, beaten 1. 5 lengths. That followed a win at Sandown-Hillside the start prior. Looks well placed so expect a better run this time. DANTOOINE (7) held on well to finish second when when resuming from a break last time out over 6f at Ballarat after leading for much of the way. Well-placed and will take running down. MARLION'S DREAM (10) was given time to settle from an outside draw when resuming last time then wound up strongly in the straight for an eye-catching third over 6f at this track. Strong chance again. HOLA AMIGOS (6) was unplaced two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 7f at this track, beaten 3. 5 lengths into eighth. Well placed and can figure in the finish this time.
