ARDASHIR (1) is a four-year-old gelding who is having his first run for the Ciaron Maher barn. Most recently finished in the placings at Tipperary before going for a break. Ran ninth in a trial over 6f at Cranbourne and looks well placed. Can return in winning form. MR INDEPENDENT (2) missed the placings when resuming two runs back then improved last start but found one better over 1m at Sandown-Hillside, beaten only 0. 8 lengths. Finds a suitable assignment and can take the next step and salute. STAND MY GROUND (10) has not raced since her debut back on October 2 when she finished fourth over 7½f at Newcastle. Improver who can feature in the finish. BUTTERSCOTCH (6) ran a better race last time at her second career start when third over 1m at Sandown-Hillside. Further improvement likely so keep her safe.
