ANGIEMARIE (12) was in contention on the bend but turned in a sub-par run last time out over 7f at Cranbourne after a nice win the start prior. Nicely placed to turn things around. SUBTLE POWER (11) finished second at this track two runs back but didn't measure up last time over 1m1 1/4f at Kyneton, finishing 10 lengths back in eighth after being prominent at the corner. Best figures measure up nicely. Sure to run well. TAKA SPEED (2) pushed forward from a wide draw last time and sat just off the lead, eventually drawing away to score by a head over 7½f at Mornington. Expected to feature. SURPERB FROST (8) was an effortless maiden winner when resuming last time out over 7½f at Mornington, scoring by 2. 25 lengths. Luke Cartwright was in the saddle on that occasion and retains the ride. This is tougher but he is capable of another big run.
