MISLEAD (8) missed the placings two runs back then didn't feature last start when 16 lengths away in 13th over 1m2f at Ballarat. Is unbeaten in three starts at this course and distance. Meets some better types this time but a big run will not surprise. NUTS 'N' BOLTS (1) has returned in good order this campaign. Opened with a third at Yarra Valley two starts back then got the job done by one length last time out over 6½f at Bendigo. Meets a stronger field but he is worth serious consideration. HOWDY (7) found the line nicely last start to get up for second over 6f at this track. Ben Allen has registered four minor placings when on board. Capable of running a bold race. GAMBINO (5) drifted well back last start before winding up strongly to finish second, beaten one length, over 6f at this track. Will spot them a start but watch for him late.
