SIR ATLAS (12) kept coming only to just miss when fresh from a lay-off last start over 7f at Ballarat. Will take a lot from that hitout. Has the talent to get the prize. EYE OF THE EAGLE (14) finished out of the money two starts back then was beaten 3.5 lengths when sixth over 7f at Ballarat two weeks ago. This is a nice drop in grade so he is perfectly placed to score. GRAND IMPACT (6) has been out of the placings in two runs since a break, the latest when fourth, beaten 5 lengths, over 6f at Moonee Valley after he settled well back. First try at the trip but he strips fitter and is capable of sharp improvement. GEORGIE GET MAD (13) was below his best last time, finishing seventh and beaten 4 lengths over 6f at Caulfield Heath. Nicely placed to turn things around.
