Tackling a more suitable race this time so he is perfectly placed to score. ANGEL CITY (12) settled well back from a good draw last time before running on solidly to finish fifth, beaten 4 lengths, over 6½f at Canberra. Should be doing best work late. OPTIMAL MOMENTS (7) is a three-year-old gelding who is having his first run for the Matthew Smith barn. Hasn't raced since finishing eighth at Mornington 11 months ago. Placed in a recent trial and looks well placed. Should feature in the finish. SHE'S A DAME (13) was in the money two starts back at Kembla Grange then missed the frame but was not too far away last time over 1m at Newcastle. The blinkers go on. Suited here and can sneak into the finish.
