TURGENEV (7) was in contention on the bend and finished second last start over 7f at this track when he worked home well, beaten 1. 4 lengths. Hard to beat in this suitable race. KNIFE'S EDGE (2) was out of the money when resuming from a lay-off last start over 7f at Mudgee, beaten 3. 5 lengths. Strips fitter and should be thereabouts.
