PAYNE (1) turned in an eye-catching run over 7f at Keeneland (Dirt) last time, ridden back before coming home with a powerful run to finish third. Distance specialist with nine wins and 11 minor placings from 29 runs and is among the leading chances. W W SCOUT'S HONOR (10) is having his first run since April 26. Goes very well when fresh with three wins from six starts, the latest over 6f at Fairmount Park at the start of last prep. Should be prominent. HAP HOT (13) went forward and gave a great sight before finishing third last time out over 6½f at Delta Downs (Dirt). Likely to push forward from the wide draw. Meets a stronger field but he is up to the task. AMERICAN XPERIMENT (8) has not won for a long while. Last raced on November 14 when beaten 7 lengths into fourth at Delta Downs (Dirt) over 6½f. Meets some better types this time but he has the ability to test this field.
