FLASHY LASS (2) is a talented mare who was well held last time out in the tougher Houston Ladies Classic won by Recharge over 1m1/2f at Sam Houston Park, beaten 7 lengths into seventh. Erik Asmussen has been in the money at all three rides, but is yet to win. Should be hard to stop. ABSINTHE (6) was heavily backed and justified the support when resuming last start over 6f at this track (Dirt), scoring by 0.1 lengths. Open to plenty of improvement and is among the winning hopes again. PRETTY LAYLA (7) turned in a fine effort to win by 0.8 lengths at this course and distance last start to maintain her good form of late. Looks well placed so expect another big run.
