AFTERNOON HEAT (3) has a moderate winning strike-rate but performed well last time at Aqueduct (Dirt), finishing second and only 0.3 lengths from the winner at the end of 6½f after being in the firing line on the bend. Tackling a deeper field this time but he is up to the task. PINKY RING BLING (7) finished out of the money two starts back then was beaten 5.5 lengths when fourth in a 7f contest at Remington Park two-and-a-half weeks ago. Must raise the bar but a win is not out of the question. BETTERING (2) showed little early speed and was always well back last start when eighth, beaten 7 lengths, over this journey at Churchill Downs (Dirt). Looks well placed so expect a better run this time. PICO D'ORO (6) has not won for a long while. Last raced on October 16 when beaten 11 lengths into eighth at Keeneland (Dirt) over 6f. Perfectly placed and is sure to be there at the finish.
