RUBIA (2) resumed from a lay-off last start with a sound third over 5½f at Fairgrounds (Turf). Tackling a deeper field this time but she is capable of a big run. THORNY (6) is back after a break of ten weeks. At the last run before the layoff she finished fifth over 1m1/2f at Fairgrounds (Dirt). Bold showing expected. SPIRITUAL LADY (8) has been racing well and is close to a win, the latest effort a solid third at this track (Dirt) over 6f. Has a wide gate to overcome but on recent form is hard to leave out. WHEN I LOOK AT YOU (7) was out of the money when resuming from a lay-off last start over 6f at this track, beaten 13 lengths. Strips fitter and can feature in the finish.
