Comes from a stable which has an impressive strike rate with the first-starters. MACCBI (1) is yet to break through in seven runs. Finished fifth after being in contention on the turn at his last appearance over 6¼f at Randwick Kensington on August 27. Likely to be in the finish in this suitable assignment. MAMMA MIA (12) stepped out on her debut over 6f at Kembla Grange three weeks ago and finished sixth, beaten 2. 25 lengths. Expected to be right there at the business end. LA NINA (5) has started twice, missing the frame on debut then doing a better job to finish third last time, beaten 4 lengths over 5½f at Goulburn. Solid chance on what we have seen to date.
