DEPUTIZE (9) drifted well back then came with a powerful run to finish 1. 3 lengths from the winner in third when resuming last start over 6f at Gosford. Among the top chances. OAKFIELD DUKE (3) hit the frame when resuming two runs back at Beaumont (Newcastle) but couldn't back it up last start when seventh, beaten 4. 5 lengths, over 6¼f at Canterbury. Has started three times at this course and distance and is yet to miss the placings. Worth noting Aaron Bullock goes aboard. This is a nice drop in grade so he is one of the main contenders.
