OAKFIELD DUKE (1) missed the frame in town lastest but not disgraced when sixth at Canterbury and does tend to run well here. Will appreciate a drop in grade. Leading contender. SCORCHED LANE (7) produced a fair effort when resuming from a lay-off last start, beaten 2.25 lengths into fourth over 6f at Kembla Grange. Should be prominent from the outset. One of the main contenders. PONY SOPRANO (4) did well to score two runs ago then turned in a decent effort last time out when third over 7f at Rosehill, beaten 0.8 lengths. Best figures measure up so deserves another chance.
