VIA FLAMINIA (12) will find this a little easier than her third on debut two-and-a-half weeks ago, beaten a long neck at the end of 6¼f at this track. Tricky draw to overcome but a big run is anticipated. RIDGEBACK (1) wasn't far away on debut last start over 6½f at Kembla Grange, finishing second and beaten 4.5 lengths. Big chance based on that effort. THE MAGIC MAN (11) showed good early dash and led for much of the way before weakening out of it when 5 lengths away in fourth over 6f at Wyong. Among the main hopes. WINNING RULET (8) resumes from a lay-off of five months. Could only manage to finish 12th at the latest run over 7½f at Hawkesbury. Looks up to the mark following a trial win at Kembla Grange. Has ability so don't underestimate.
