FORBIDDEN RIFF (14) drifted back then made late ground to finish fourth when when resuming from a lay-off last start over 6½f at Kembla Grange. Well-placed to turn things around. OWEN COUNTY (1) drifted well back last start then wound up strongly to finish fifth, beaten 3.5 lengths, over 1m at this track. Will drift back but will be getting home hard. OMNIC (3) wasn't far away when resuming last start when fifth over 6f at Gosford. May appreciate the longer journey with that run under the belt. Has never been out of the placings at this stage of the prep. Has a decent record at this track. One of the contenders. HOMERIC (7) knuckled down strongly to get within 1.2 lengths of the winner in third last start over 7f at this track. Top-three prospects.
