DUE RESPECT (8) was denied a head and a short-head over 7f at Redcar past two outings. The Gary Rutherford trained filly is due to go up a further 2lb and may belatedly get off the mark before that kicks in. Less exposed EY UP HE'S A STAR (6) shaped nicely when third making handicap debut at Catterick (6f) and could prove the main threat now stepping up to 7f. EPICURIAN LAD (5) could be firmly in the mix racing off 2lb lower than when third tackling further in first-time cheekpieces (retained) at Wolverhampton recently. BETA READER (2) cannot be ruled out.
