OTONO (3) broke her maiden last start over 7f at Orange, scoring by 0.8 lengths. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Big chance to go back-to-back. HERON (5) displayed plenty of early toe over 7f at Nowra last time and defied all challengers to score by a nose. Going up a level this time but she deserves plenty of thought. COASTAL GROOVE (1) is yet to find the frame in two runs since resuming from a lay-off, the latest when seventh over 7½f at this track after he got a long way back. Has further improvement to come and is among the main hopes. THEBES (4) progressed nicely last time out to score by 1.5 lengths over 6¼f at Taree. Looks well placed so expect another big run.
