The classy William Haggas trained seven-year-old AL AASY (1) showed a smart turn of foot squeezing through against the rail to land the Listed Steventon Stakes at Goodwood. Three from five at this venue and can enhance that record now back up in trip. Challenge may come from AL QAREEM (2) who was by no means disgraced when fifth in the G1 Goodwood Cup. Dangerous if allowed too much room early. As a dual G2 winner last year SUMO SAM (4) could bounce back after a wind-op. GO DADDY (5) might improve now tackling this stiffer stamina test.
