LIGHT INFANTRY (4) was below his best form last time when 7 lengths back in seventh over 5½f at Hawkesbury. Clayton Gallagher has been in the money at every start aboard this six-year-old gelding so he deserves another chance. BLUE DE BEERS (8) is back from a lay-off of six months and does go well when fresh, including a win to launch last campaign over 5½f at Bathurst. Fitter for a minor placing in a recent Gilgandra trial. Key runner. OBSESSIVE NATURE (6) finished a 7 length tenth on turf at Warren two starts ago. Much better last time though, following up with success on the dirt at Trangie over 4f four weeks ago. Goes well at this distance with two wins and a placing from four starts and shapes as a key runner. SUPER SIOUX (3) has not won for a long while. Last raced on August 1 when beaten 5. 5 lengths into tenth at Newcastle over 4½f. Has started two times at this course and distance and is yet to miss the placings. Will enjoy a drop in class so she is one of the main contenders.
