FIRST DAY (5) improved sharply on her fourth two starts back at Swan Hill with a win over 1m2f at Wagga three weeks ago, getting home by 5.5 lengths. Has her share of ability. Hard to beat again in this suitable race. DUE CALZINI (4) built on a nice second two starts back at Wagga with success as public elect over 1m1 1/2f at Canberra Acton nine days ago, getting home by 0.9 lengths. Taking on a better line-up this time but he deserves plenty of thought. TAUMATA (6) hasn't made an impression lately despite market confidence. Last start could only manage seventh over 1m3/4f at Canberra Acton. Rates highly on best figures - can do much better. FINAL COMMENT (3) was below his best last time, finishing eighth and beaten 4 lengths over 1m3/4f at Canberra Acton. Suitably placed so anticipating a better run this time.
