KING OF WESSEX (1) was thereabouts two starts ago before a disappointing 11th most recently over 1m2 3/4f at Oakbank. Should enjoy the significant drop in grade. Sure to go well. VEE ROD (7) wasn't disgraced in city class last time when finishing fifth at Oakbank. Will find this much easier. Best form puts him right in this. ALBLAZER (4) turned in a nice effort to score two runs ago at Mt Gambier. Couldn't follow that up last time out when tenth over 1m2f at Warrnambool, beaten 11 lengths. The engagement of Kayla Crowther is noteworthy. Ideally placed and is sure to bounce back to form. HASTA LA PRINCE (10) hasn't been able to break through for an extended period, the latest effort a fifth over 1m2 1/4f at Mt Gambier. Has the class to produce a better result.
