FALCON NINE (1) has finished second on his last two starts. Most recently defeated a neck attempting 1m2f at Ayr after making strong late headway from the rear. Previous course-and-distance success strengthens his claims and he sets the standard. SAMRA STAR (2) came from last to land a 1m Ayr handicap by a neck on latest appearance. Step up to 1m1f should suit and she is the main danger. MINERS GAMBLE (5) finished 1. 5L fifth over 1m at Newcastle when last seen and is a previous track-and-trip winner. First-time tongue-tie gives him some appeal. GEMINI MAN (4) was 3L second tackling 1m5f at this circuit last time but now drops sharply in distance. Not discounted.
