VORTEXIA (8) was prominent at the turn and ran a better race last start to finish a close third over 1m1 1/2f at Ballina after missing the placings at the previous appearance. Has her share of talent. Hard to beat in this suitable race. NICODEMUS (9) was well supported last time over 1m1/2f at Gold Coast but could only manage second after being in contention on the turn. Leading contender. CARACORON (2) recorded a gutsy maiden victory last time out over 1m1/2f at Grafton, scoring by one length. Shaping up nicely and he cannot be underestimated. CAMELOT STAR (1) hit the frame two starts ago at Ballina but ran below par last time when seventh and beaten 12 lengths over 1m4f at Gold Coast. Open to improvement and should be about the mark.
