SIMPLY SID (1) found the line nicely last start to get up for third over 5¼f at Balaklava. Goes well at this trip, recording four minor placings and is expected to be in the finish. JUXTAPOSE (12) is back after a break of six months. At the last run before the layoff she finished sixth over 5½f at Morphettville. Looks ready to run following a minor placing in a recent Strathalbyn trial. Good chance to break through. CARPE ASTRA (9) has been racing in great heart with two top-three finishes on end, the latest a second over 5f at Ballarat. Needs to be at her best to beat this field but she has the ability to mix it with them. BOOLCUNDA DAWN (8) finished second last start at the first run back from a lay-off over 5¼f at Kingscote, beaten a nose. Meets a stronger field but she is good enough to make a big impact.
