PRESS EXPRESS (9) went forward when resuming last start over 5¼f at Morphettville and held on well for second, beaten 1.3 lengths. Will be handy in running despite the tricky draw. Has the talent to play a significant role. COSMIC RIDE (11) is a three-start maiden who finished seventh, beaten 5.5 lengths, when resuming from a lay-off last start over 5f at Ballarat. Will take a lot from that hit-out and looks a strong chance to break through. NARALINGA (3) missed the placings on debut then improved last start but found one better over 5½f at Naracoorte, beaten a neck after being prominent at the corner. Needs to be at his best to beat this field but he is up to the challenge. ALLOY (10) is a filly by Rubick out of Sheffield on debut. Fitter for a recent trial placing. Worth watching for a betting move.
