VALENTINA CHARM (8) finished fifth two runs back at this track then improved last time out to score by a head over 6f at this track when she gave away a big start on the bend. Finds a suitable race and can figure in the finish. CAPTAIN JOOLIAN (5) is back from a three-and-a-half months lay-off and he does run well when resuming, including a win over 6f at Mt Gambier at the start of last prep. Fitter for a fourth in a recent trial over 5f at Murray Bridge. Solid chance. ABIT RATTLEY (4) is usually thereabouts but finds it hard to win, with just two wins from 25 starts. Again tasted defeat last start when sixth over 6¾f at Strathalbyn, beaten 3 lengths. Likely contender with strong prospects. ALOHA BLUE (11) raced on the speed last start and battled on well but found one better over 6f at this track. Sure to prove hard to run down again.
