DAMAGED (6) rates highly in this company after placing in city grade at Canterbury over 5½f. Has scored before when fresh. Settles back early but winds up late. Will prove hard to hold out. FREE BEER (4) progressed nicely last time out when he worked home well to finish just 1.75 lengths from the winner in second over 6½f at Bordertown. Taking on a better line-up this time but he is up to the challenge. SANTASTICO (1) finished third last time over 5½f at Bordertown, beaten 1.5 lengths. Finds a tougher race but a big run will not surprise. MERCHANT BOSS (2) finished ninth over 5¼f at Morphettville at his most recent appearance on December 15. Has to be respected.
