WATER LAD (4) closed off strongly last start to get up for second, beaten a head, over 5f at Muswellbrook on debut. Should be winding up late again. SACRED MISTRESS (6) turned in a good effort on debut five months ago when 1.2 lengths away in second at Beaumont (Newcastle) over 6¾f. Has not been to the races since that outing. In the placings in a recent Muswellbrook trial. Drawn out a bit but is among the main hopes. HAMMOON SUMMER (9) is yet to break through but has been in the money four times including last start when second over 5½f at Coonamble. Has been in the frame at all three runs over this trip. Expected to run well. NASTY STREAK (14) was beaten 7 lengths into fifth in a 5f contest at Canberra last time out. Well placed to turn things around.
