POSEIDON'S SON (2) returned from a lay-off a week-and-a-half ago when he was in contention on the bend before being beaten 9 lengths into fourth over 5½f at this track. Has been in the money at each second up start. Fitter this time. Hard to beat in this suitable race. CLASS ACTOR (5) has not appeared since he saluted over 5½f at Mahoning Valley (Dirt) on March 26. Has switched to the Jami C Poole stable. Has to be respected. OPTIMISTIC NATE (6) didn't make an impact at his last run before going for a lay-off on 8/05/2025, finishing fifth and beaten 5 lengths over 4½f at Charles Town (Dirt). One to consider.
