Meets some better types this time but this looks well within his grasp. COMBS (2) didn't make an impact at his last run before going for a lay-off on 7/08/2025, finishing fifth and beaten 5. 5 lengths over 7¼f at this track. Has to be respected. CORVALIST (1) registered his first win last start over 5f at Cloncurry, getting home by 0. 8 lengths. Michael McDonald was in the saddle on that occasion and retains the mount. Must be respected now that the penny has dropped.
