WIMMERA STAR (2) ran a better race last start to finish a close third over 1m1f at Murray Bridge after missing the placings at the previous appearance. Looks well placed so expect another big run. SIDE PIECE (1) has scored at his last two starts, most recently by 1. 3 lengths over 1m1/2f at Warrnambool. That continued the good form this campaign, with two wins from six runs. Can measure up again. HASTA LA AMNESTY (7) finished third two runs back at Bordertown then improved last time out to score by 3 lengths over 1m2f at Naracoorte. Dylan Caboche scored on him last time and retains the mount. Meets a stronger field but he is capable of running another bold race. PIANTA (6) has put together back-to-back placings after scoring three back at this track, most recently beaten 3 lengths into third over 1m4f at this track. Suitably placed so anticipating another big run.
