SANTASTICO (1) improved sharply on his fourth two starts back at Gawler with a win as favourite over 5f81yards at Penola nine days ago, getting home by a neck. It doesn't get any easier but on his best form he is capable of testing his rivals. THAILESS (2) showed good early speed and raced on the pace last start before fading to finish fifth, beaten 2. 75 lengths, over 6½f at Stawell. Well placed and should be tough to rein in. CORK HARBOUR (5) did little and finished 5. 5 lengths from the winner in eighth over 7f at Murray Bridge last start, a less impressive effort than his sixth at Gawler the run before. Has the class to produce a better result. PORT LOUIS (10) missed the placings two runs back then didn't do any better last start when 5. 5 lengths away in eighth over 1m at Camperdown. Finds a nice race and can bounce back.
