ROSTOPCHIN (14) finished 4.5 lengths from the winner in fourth last start over 6½f at Ararat, an improvement on her seventh on debut at Terang the run before. Finds a more suitable contest and can take this out. FRONTAL ATTACK (4) is yet to break through in seven runs. Finished 11th at his last appearance over 5f at Murray Bridge on May 15. Well placed on this occasion and gets his chance to break the ice. FALLING LEAVES (8) knuckled down strongly to get within 1.2 lengths of the winner in third last start over 5½f at Bordertown when fresh from a break. Among the better chances.
