Nice weight drop so another bold showing is expected. MATING CALL (5) came from well back on the bend and hit the line strongly to score over 1m1f in the G3 Auraria Stakes at this track last time out. Stiffer assignment here but is still among the leading chances. SALTY PEARL (3) has been kept fresh since picking up a minor prize over 1m2f in the G1 Vinery Stud Stakes at Rosehill. Should be right up to the mark after a recent Cranbourne trial. Rates highly and is among the main hopes. PANOVA (4) hasn't raced since finishing seventh in the G1 Vinery Stud Stakes at Rosehill over 1m2f four weeks ago. Kept ticking over with a placing in a recent trial at Flemington.
