MIDLIFE CRISIS (5) has not raced since he drifted back on debut six-and-a-half months ago then wound up nicely to finish third over 6f at Kyneton. Likely improver and expected to go well again. I AM RALPH (3) turned in an eye-catching run over 6f at Gawler last time, ridden back before coming home with a powerful run to finish second. Should run on into the finish again. FAST TEMPO (1) is a maiden galloper resuming from a lay-off after finishing 11th over 1m at Murray Bridge at the latest appearance on August 13. Looks to be in good order after placing in a trial. Sure to be competitive. STRONG MINDED (7) is a three-start maiden who returned last time and finished sixth at this track over 5¼f, beaten 3. 5 lengths. Definite top-three hope with plenty of improvement to come.
