BELTHIL (1) returned from a lay-off two-and-a-half weeks ago when he was beaten 5.5 lengths into sixth over 7½f at Geelong. Has a solid second up record. Ideally placed and is sure to make amends. SURPRISE COMING (3) ran on strongly only to just miss as favourite last start over 6f at Morphettville. Should be near his peak for this. This looks a sterner test than last time but on his best form he is good enough to take this out. EASY CAMPESE (2) was second up last start and went close, beaten 0.8 lengths into third at Gawler over 7½f. Will jump from a nice alley so he looks a serious threat. ANGELIC APPEAL (9) built on a nice second two starts back at this track with a win as public elect over 7f at Murray Bridge four weeks ago, getting home by 1.2 lengths. Nicely placed to go back-to-back.
