STAUNCH (1) was allowed to drift back from a wide draw last time before finding the line strongly to score by 0.8 lengths over 7¼f at Geelong. In form and will take beating again. PUISSY GALORE (10) is usually thereabouts but finds it hard to win, with only one victory from 10 starts. Did a good job last start to finish second over 7f at Murray Bridge, beaten 2 lengths. Stepping up a level this time but on her best form she is one of the key runners. BURNING BRIGHT (8) ran below expectations last time at this track, finishing fifth and beaten 5 lengths. Should be in the mix in this suitable race.
