AMLETO (5) hasn't been far away recently including last time out when third over 1m2f at Pakenham. Has an outside gate but looks suited in this contest. Expected to be in the finish. ALMAIRAC (8) is coming off a last-start fourth, beaten 2. 5 lengths, over 1m4f at Sandown-Hillside. Looks to have an edge on most of these. SHAHZAD (7) finished third at Warrnambool two runs back but was less effective last time over 1m2f at Pakenham, finishing 9 lengths back in tenth. Finds a nice race and can bounce back. GATES (9) was beaten 2 lengths into seventh over 1m1f at Caulfield Heath two-and-a-half weeks ago. Well placed to turn things around.
