I AM A WINNER (5) finished eighth two runs back at Newcastle then improved last time out to score by a neck after being in contention on the bend over 5½f at Armidale. Finds a suitable race and can play a major role again. ABLETT (2) finished fifth last start, beaten 2. 25 lengths, over 5f at Dalby. Form over this journey is strong, boasting seven wins from 14 starts. Has good early speed so should take up a forward position. Should be involved in the finish. JACKA STANDS ALONE (4) is a progressive four-year-old gelding who resumes from a break of four months, his last appearance being a win over 6f at Rockhampton. Sharpened for this with a recent trial win. Has never missed the frame when fresh from a lay-off in two starts. Les Tilley who has two wins when partnering stays on. One of the better hopes.
