THE GENIUS (1) opened this prep with a win two runs ago. Not as effective last time out when fifth over 1m2 1/4f at Moe, beaten 5.5 lengths after being in the firing line on the bend. Meeting a deeper field this time but he deserves plenty of thought. DIVUS ROMULUS (5) missed the placings when resuming recently but was not too far from the winner when fourth over 1m2 1/4f at this track. Has never been out of the placings at this stage of the prep. Change of rider to John Allen who has an excellent strike rate when in the saddle, including two wins. Will strip fitter so expect him to feature. AKROTIRI (4) was in the firing line on the corner and ran a better race last start to finish a close second over 1m2 1/4f at Moe after missing the placings at the previous appearance. Meets some better types this time but this looks well within his grasp. RISE TO IT (3) ran below expectations last start, finishing fifth and beaten 2.5 lengths at this track over 1m2 1/4f. Well placed to atone.
