FLAMIN' ROMANS (12) did his best work late to score by 1.5 lengths last time out over 1m3/4f at Geelong at the second run this prep. Can make it back-to-back wins. HOLMES (13) improved sharply on his fourth two starts back at Murray Bridge with a win as public elect over 1m1 3/4f at Morphettville Parks three weeks ago, getting home by 2.75 lengths after being in contention on the corner. Goes up a rung or two but he is worth serious consideration. CAPTAIN ELECTRIC (8) bounced back last start and landed the prize by 1.75 lengths over 1m4f at Caulfield. Nicely placed to feature in the finish again.
