UNION EXPRESS (4) turned in a strong run two starts ago at Aqueduct (Turf) then failed to back it up over 1m1f at Saratoga (Turf) last time, beaten 6 lengths into seventh. Kept fresh since that last run so should run well. MY PAL MAX (5) showed good speed and led for much of the way before being claimed in the straight and fading to finish fourth, beaten 2.5 lengths, over 1m1/2f here last time. Expected to be in this for a long way. SURPRISE PACKAGE (6) was far from disgraced when second last start after being in contention on the bend over 1m1/2f at this track, beaten 1.75 lengths. That followed a win at this track the start prior. The engagement of Samuel Marin is noteworthy. Nicely placed to return to winning form. AUDEN (3) progressed nicely last time out to score by 1.5 lengths over 1m at this track (Dirt). Solid top-three prospects.
