GROUCH (4) is returning from a lay-off of six months. Finished sixth at this track (Turf) over 1m at the first run last prep. Now with a new trainer Thomas A Clark. Expect him to pose a serious challenge. EL MEDIANOCHE (8) is coming off a determined win last start over 6½f at Parx (Dirt) two-and-a-half weeks ago. Gets some weight relief this time so he is one of the contenders again. RIVER DOG (7) resumes. Didn't make an impact at his only run last prep on 10/01/2025, finishing fifth and beaten 8 lengths over 6½f at Gulfstream Park (Dirt). Has the gate speed to take up a forward position. One of the better hopes.
